Meet Gracey's

It started with two teachers, a garden in St Albans and a pizza oven that didn't always behave.

During lockdown, James Woodley and Grace Surman started making pizza at home. What began as a side project quickly became an obsession. James chased the perfect dough through hydration notes, long ferments and endless testing. Grace handed the first slices around to anyone willing to try one.

That same curiosity still sits at the heart of Gracey's Pizza today.

New York and New Haven-inspired pizza, made the Gracey's way

Gracey's has built a following for its take on East Coast American pizza: crisp, charred bases with a satisfying chew, homemade sauces and carefully sourced toppings.

The result lands somewhere between New York and New Haven, but with a personality that's entirely its own. These are pizzas made with serious attention to dough and ingredients, without making dinner feel too serious.

If you're searching for New Haven-style pizza in London, Gracey's is a good place to start.

Start classic or follow Grace's latest obsession

You can keep things simple with a classic Margherita, or turn up the heat with Hot Honey. But pizza is only part of the order.

James's everyday small plates are designed to make a full meal of it: Caesar Salad for £5, House Garlic Bread for £7, and a New York-style Cookie & Ice Cream for £5 when you're ready for something sweet.

Then there are Grace's current obsessions: Smokey Ron for £12, Sweet Vera for £13 and Plain Tom for £6. Pick a favourite, add a few plates for the table and build dinner your own way.

Pizza made for sharing

Gracey's fits naturally into Arcade's way of eating: explore more, order across the table and discover something you didn't come in planning to try.

What began with James and Grace sharing test slices in St Albans has grown into a pizza brand with a devoted London following. The scale has changed. The instinct hasn't: make the dough better, use great ingredients and give people a slice worth coming back for.

Discover Gracey’s New York-Inspired Pizza at Arcade

Looking for great pizza in London? Gracey’s brings its take on New Haven-inspired pizza to Arcade, serving generously topped 12-inch and 16-inch pizzas that are ideal for solo dinners, group meals and late-night slices. The menu begins with the vegan Plain Tom, a simple but flavour-packed pizza made with crushed Italian tomatoes, thinly sliced garlic, extra virgin olive oil, Sicilian oregano and fresh basil. For a classic choice, the Marg layers Italian tomatoes with a mozzarella blend, creamy fior di latte, Pecorino and fresh basil.

Those craving something richer can try the Smokey Ron, topped with smoked pepperoni, mozzarella, Parmigiano Reggiano and Sicilian oregano, with halal pepperoni available on request. The Sweet Vera combines spicy fennel sausage, sweet peppers, shallots, fior di latte and fresh parsley, while the White Mushroom Pie swaps the traditional tomato sauce for a crème fraîche base topped with roasted portobello mushrooms, caramelised onions and Pecorino. Gracey’s New Haven is the signature stripped-back option, balancing crushed Italian tomatoes with mozzarella, Pecorino, garlic, oregano and Parmigiano Reggiano.

The Gracey’s menu goes beyond pizza, with plenty of snacks, dips and Italian-inspired small plates to explore. Start with mini pizza fritti, Nocellara olives or salted almonds, then add burrata with gremolata, burrata with ’nduja, classic supplì or a winter fennel salad. Pizzas can be customised with toppings including stracciatella, ’nduja, pepperoni, sweet peppers and extra mozzarella, alongside dips such as hot honey, garlic and herb ranch or gremolata. Finish with gingerbread ice cream—and add a shot of ristretto liqueur for a grown-up twist. With vegetarian, vegan and halal choices available, Gracey’s is an easy choice for pizza, casual dining and sharing plates in London.
