From the same duo behind cult pop-up TĀTĀ Eatery comes TŌU – a first-of-its-kind katsu sando concept currently taking residence in The Loft at Arcade.
Brought together through their shared love of rice, couple Ana Goncalves and Zijun Meng now shift the vessel carrying their high-standard, well-executed meals from rice to bread. TŌU will mark the duo’s first sando-focused base in central London, as well as their first bricks and mortar location to date.
Headlining TŌU’s menu will be the duo’s iconic Iberian Katsu Sando currently setting Instagram on fire, available from midday seven days a week. Goncalves and Meng are also set to introduce a few new additions to the sando family, drawing from new and classic Japanese influences each carrying their own unique flavour profiles. The menu will also feature rotating daily specials and rice bowls, paying homage to where it all began.
With backgrounds in graphics and fine arts, Goncalves and Meng are also working with some renowned international creatives to support TŌU’s launch, kicking off with a collaboration with artist Nester Formentera as part of a wider series (more details on that collaboration coming soon).
