Lina Stores takes its name from the original founder “Lina”, a formidable lady from Genova who established the delicatessen in London’s Soho back in 1944. Over 75 years later, Lina Stores still holds its original Brewer Street location, selling authentic Italian produce and fresh, handmade pasta to a now cult-following. Fast-forward to the 21st Century where Lina Stores now bring their authentically Italian, high-quality dishes, fresh handmade pasta, cured meats and antipasti from their neighbouring restaurant and delicatessen to their newest kitchen at Arcade.
Lina Stores’ menu is inspired by the best products, ingredients and dishes for which each region in Italy is renowned: their Parma Ham is of 'Denominazione d' Origine Protetta’, a national standard which preserves and protects regionally produced food from less superior versions, the Parmigiano-Reggiano comes from Emilia-Romagna and the tomatoes used in their Burrata Pansoti dish are Datterini tomatoes straight from Sicily – sweet and incredibly flavourful. Lina respects the Italian tradition and provenance of the greatest quality and constantly strives to balance this with the innovation that keeps them at the forefront of London’s Italian offering.
Dishes you can experience at Arcade include a 30 egg Tagliolini with Parmesan, butter and Black Summer truffle; the Pappardelle with a slow cooked veal ragu and the Pici Alla Norcina – Pici with porcini mushrooms and Umbrian sausage.
